I have found Fizzy C to taste great, it doesn't have any nasties and does your immune system good, what is there not to like?!!!
By Mrs V J Irving - 15 December 2014
The old fizzy C's were so much better much quicker to dissolve and tasted a lot nicer. I will not bother with these again as they are nothing like the natural lemon flavour. I have switched to the fizzy multi vitamins which still aren't as good but better than these new fizzy C's.
We reformulated this product in response to customer requests for a 1000mg vitamin C tablet. To make this increase we had to change some of the other ingredients to make the product palatable. The most important factor to adjust was the sweetness to balance the flavours, to do this we added a small amount of stevia. Stevia, a naturally sourced sweetener, makes the ingredients stick together more and, therefore, there has been an increase in the dissolving time. We felt that the improvements in the formulation justified the increased dissolving time, this is the only 1000mg vitamin C effervescent tablet naturally sweetened with stevia available. We changed the flavour to orange after conducting taste trials, and this proved the most popular flavour. We are sorry that you do not like the changes, but generally the product is popular with many of our customers.

So disappointed with this new version of Fizzy C. How can something so natural have an after taste like Aspartame? I used to love the old tablets and enjoy them as a healthy drink. I really can't bear the new version and have given up all together. I'm getting similar feedback from my clients. Such a pity!
We are sorry that you are disappointed with the changes to this formulation. We thought very carefully before we reformulated Fizzy C and we taste tested the new formula before it was approved. We wanted to make a supplement with 1000mg of vitamin C and to reduce the amount of fructose in the product. We only use natural sweeteners in our products so we decided to use the sweetener stevia. The steviol glycosides are extracted from the leaf of the plant, unlike artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose which are created in a lab. We used as little of the steviol glycosides as possible to take the tartness and acidity from the flavour.

The taste isn`t great, but its not bad either; Quite palatable - I for one, would always rather the taste of a product was jeopardized, in favour of retaining the most healthy product possible - and in so doing, leaving out the unhealthy ingrediants such as aspartame -

Having loved the original Fizzy C I actually purchased from another site because they had the original Fizzy C picture. i actually received a mixture and will definitely NOT be purchasing the new version again. It has that same nasty aftertaste that you get with aspartame. I don't understand why you would replace fructose with the controversial sorbitol and steviol which itself has negative claims if consumed in more than small doses (which is getting more and more likely given its growing availability). There is also research that these sweeteners do not ultimately help people lose weight anyway. PLEASE bring back the old Fizzy C, even if you stock both!
Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment. We reformulated the Fizzy C in response to customer feedback about the strength and we also felt that the flavour could be improved. We understand that some of our customers will be disappointed with these changes but we felt that the product needed to be improved to bring it up to the same standard as other products on the market. We have used steviol glycosides which are extracted from stevia leaves. Stevia is a natural intense sweetener so we have only used a very small amount to improve the flavour of the tablets. As a result of using stevia we were able to increase the level of vitamin C from 500mg to 1000mg, we have also been able to reduce the amount of fructose in each tablet by nearly 50%. We felt that these were both improvements. A very small amount of sorbitol (215mg) has been added to ensure low water activity and to preserve the integrity of the tablet. The sorbitol has not been added as a sweetener. Your comments have of course been passed through to our Product Team

Ordered these new naturally sweetened tablets and have to say am very disappointed. The tablets do not disperse as quickly as the original product and are sickly sweet. Very unpleasant after-taste. What a shame!
We have reformulated Fizzy C partly in response to customer feedback requesting 1000mg of vitamin C and partly as we felt that the flavour (or product) could be improved. We understand that some of customers will be disappointed with these changes but we felt that the product needed to be improved to bring it up to the same standard as other products on the market. It is still unique as it is currently the only effervescent vitamin C that is sweetened with naturally occurring sweeteners. We have used a sweetener, steviol glycosides, that is extracted from stevia leaves. This is a natural intense sweetener so we have only used a very small amount to improve the flavour of the tablets. As a result of using stevia we have been able to reduce the amount of fructose in each tablet by nearly 50% which we felt was an improvement. There have been other changes to the formulation and there are additional ingredients which have been used to improve the quality and stability of the tablet. We have put a breakline in the tablets so that customers who prefer to take 500mg can still have this dose and the taste is much less strong. This product can also still be given to children aged 3 upwards at a dose of half a tablet a day. We will be amending the labels to include directions for children shortly. The Fizzy C tablets have always taken a long time to dissolve, the process can be speeded up by stirring the water and not using chilled water.

Delicious and no artificial sweetener added to it. So far the the only vit.C in the market that does not contain aspartame and other nasty( and not healthy at all!) sweeteners. I much rather have a tiny amount of sugar in my vit. C than artificial sweeteners!! Thanks Higher Nature

Helps keep up daily liquid amount. If endless glasses of water are too boring, have a glass with fizzy C, bonus of vitamin and you can never have too much C!!

just bought this and think for it's all natural and no dodgy ingredients it's cheap despite what other reviewer said. It dissolves very quickly and the taste is good. I also take the Fizzy-Multi from time to time and find that an amazing product.

my children take this when they are run down or have colds. Great way to get extra vit c down them without any artificial ingedients

I love this vitamin C product and so do the rest of my family. As well as being a good product, it has the benefit of also having a great taste !!!
