Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an important water-soluble vitamin and, unlike other animals, humans are unable to produce or store the vitamin. The body needs a constant supply to retain it within cells, so this means to maintain a healthy level of Vitamin C we need to consume it within our diets.

Vitamin C helps protect cells and keeps them healthy. It functions as an antioxidant and helps maintain a strong immune system. There has been a variety of research conducted into the benefits of consuming Vitamin C and it’s known that a deficiency in this important vitamin can cause health problems; the most severe condition is scurvy.
