Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and the Vitamin K2 form stays in the blood for longer than Vitamin K1. It also contributes to normal blood clotting
Vitamin K2 is highly bioavailable and bioactive, and remains in the blood for longer than K1. This means the body’s reserves can be built up and tissues supplied continuously.
An excellent food source of Vitamin K2 is natto (fermented soya beans) – not a common Western dietary choice. Cheese and curd are also good sources, but people following a heart-health diet are recommended to reduce such foods in their diet, and they’re usually high in salt. Higher Nature’s Vitamin K2 is sourced from natto.
As Vitamin K is so important for bone health it makes sense to take this as part of your daily supplementation programme especially if you are postmenopausal
The optimal daily intake as determined by research is 45µg – more is not necessary.
Perfect partners for ‘tip-top’ bones
For strong healthy bones, take Super OsteoFood and Vitamin K2, a powerful combination of all the important bone nutrients. Vitamin K2 is particularly key for helping maintain bone mass in post-menopausal women.
45µg Vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7).
Take 1 tablet a day.
Not advisable if taking blood thinning medication

I have been taking Higher Nature Vitamin K2 among other minerals and vitamins since 2011 to try and maintain my bone density. A recent DEXA scan shows a slight improvement, after previously maintaining the level for 2 years. I would recommend this product to anyone who has Osteoporosis.
